When Elfyn Evans scored his maiden WRC victory on the 2017 Wales Rally GB in a state-of-the-art M-Sport Ford Fiesta WRC, it was just 11 years after he’d made his rally debut in a little Nissan Micra!
His rise from service manager in the family garage business to one of the world’s top professional rally drivers has been rapid – and it’s been achieved through hard work and determination.
Inspired by his father, former British rally champion Gwyndaf Evans, Elfyn does everything to a very high professional level, but doesn’t live the superstar lifestyle in Monaco – preferring his natural surroundings of beautiful mid-Wales on his days off. But don’t let his modesty fool you – he’s as competitive as any driver in the WRC and he has one aim; to be World Champion.
