Welshman moves up to third in WRC after impressive drive.
Elfyn came within 0.6 seconds of claiming his first victory of the season after a thrilling final-day battle at the all-new Croatia Rally. Locked in a fight with team-mate Seb Ogier for most of the event, he lost out after running wide on the final corner of the rally.
The asphalt event provided a tough challenge and Elfyn delivered a solid and consistent performance, he was never out of the top-three all weekend.
Scoring four fastest times and edging into the lead on the final day, his second place marks his second podium from three events and sees him close the gap to the leader at the top of the WRC championship standings. He also helped Toyota Gazoo Racing bring home a superb 1-2 result.
