Dominant drive with string of stage wins sees Welshman close in on WRC lead.
Elfyn jumped right back into contention for the FIA World Rally Championship title after a sensational victory on Rally Finland, one of the sport’s most iconic events.
After a strong opening day, Elfyn set a string of fastest times on Saturday to grab the lead and controlled the fast-paced, rollercoaster event to finish with a 14.1 second advantage. He also took the Power Stage win to secure an additional five points and close the gap to championship leader Seb Ogier.
Taking a sensational home win for the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team, Elfyn is only the second British driver to claim the top step of the podium on this legendary event.
The battle resumes in just two weeks with the penultimate event at Rally de Espana as the series switches to asphalt for the final two rounds.
