Elfyn takes fifth in Arctic Rally Finland

Welshman disappointed with pace in the snow.

Elfyn came away from a frustrating Arctic Rally Finland with fifth place after losing time with poor road position on the opening day and struggling to find the confidence to deliver rally-leading pace in the magical winter conditions.

He was disappointed with his performance on day two, thinking he could have managed his tyre package better, which would have allowed him to fight and climb the leaderboard.

With grip levels changing a lot, Elfyn found his pace to be too conservative in some places and too fast in others as he batted to find a rhythm. The result sees Elfyn share third place in the WRC championship battle with current title holder and team-mate Seb Ogier.
